If you’re new around here, welcome… I’m so happy you’re here to read some of my most exciting posts yet! I recently was in New York City for New York Fashion Week and shared 7 valuable things I learned as a first timer AND my Day 1 experience at NYFW! Today’s blog post is dedicated to one of my busiest and craziest days yet, Day 2 at NYFW…
I started the day bright and early with my blogging roomie, Lindsey, for brunch at My Wife Freda (the cutest marble table top, avocado toast, kind of brunch spot) where we planned out our schedule for the day. We knew this was our busiest day yet at New York Fashion Week and wanted to make it a successful one! We each had various appointments across town, had various shows back to back in different locations, and most importantly needed to ensure we had our photoshoot times and locations figured out! To say this day was jam packed would definitely be an understatement, yet, to me, it was 110% worth it and the adrenaline was already pumping 🙂
TWO PIECE SET: Boohoo (wearing size US 4) // SHOES: Steve Madden // BAG: Chloe // JACKET: BlankNYC // SUNGLASSES: Perverse
Our first stop was the LIKEtoKNOW.it he(art) wall which is the adorable purple + yellow wall you see above! It was so fun to see other bloggers there and take some sweet pics. I then headed straight for the Galtiscopio show which was my VERY first NYFW runway show! I felt so giddy as soon as the lights went off, the music started blasting, and runway models strutted their stuff. I noticed a lot of new trends: metallics, textures, graphic tees, and high neck lines which I’m excited about 🙂 Sitting at this show made the moment feel surreal I definitely had an “is this real life?” thought.
After this show I was off to an exciting meeting with a PR company that I’ve worked with previously and scored the above Perverse sunglasses to take away with me! Immediately after this, I jetted across town to the rewardStyle headquarters rooftop event! This was probably one of my favorite times seeing old blogging friends and meeting new ones in real life all while drinking champagne and overlooking the glorious city!
I then headed to another event which was more of a relaxing, small and intimate setting with massage tables, healthy snacks and fresh green juice, and of course some fitness gear to browse through and take home with me 🙂 I can’t wait to share the most adorable activewear set I received!
After the gifting suite I headed back to the hotel to freshen up and change before taking my last photos of the day! New York City might be my favorite place to take photos. I love the street scenes and all the action going on, yet somehow life pauses momentarily when the photos are taken. Does that make sense?! Haha 😉
I met up with a few bloggers at The Edition hotel for $22 wine (eek, that’s New York for ya!) and some fries. Then a few of us blogging ladies headed to the Flat Iron area where there was dinner and ice cream outside 🙂 Did I mention the weather while in New York City was perfect?!
And that tops off Day 2 folks! I headed back to the hotel to put my feet up and get some shut eye for the next day which was looming on the horizon. Stay tuned for Day 3 at New York Fashion Week AND a dedicated FAQ post answering your top questions about NYFW. If you have any send them my way: torey@toreystreasures.com  🙂Â
