One of the most asked questions in my DMs on Instagram for the last few years is fitness tips and recommendations. And while everyone’s bodies and goals are different, I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorite fitness moves you can do from anywhere. These 5 travel friendly moves are my go-to’s when I want to get a quick workout in or when I don’t have easy access to a gym, and they always leave me feeling strong and challenged.
1. burpees – As challenging as they are, I love burpees because you can do them at any level. Add in a pushup, a squat jump, or even a mountain climber into each rep to take this full body move to the next level.
2. push-ups – This classic move is such an accomplishment and has a variety of modifications or additional challenges depending on your fitness level. Drop to your knees if you need to lighten the load, or push up on a bench at a 45 degree angle, or even push yourself and add an iso hold at the bottom of your push-up for an added challenge.
3. squats – My absolute fave booty move and again, one of those moves that you can add in some varia0on to keep it interesting and to make sure you hit all angles of your bum. Bonus if you bring a booty band with you for this move (like seen above)!
4. bicycle abs – Such a staple move if you are looking to strengthen your core! These are seen a lot in different variations in my 30-day ab guide “crush your core”!
5. plank – The possibilities are endless when it comes to planks. You can keep it straight forward with your classic full length plank, alternate swapping to star plan on each single arm, drop to your elbows, or even alternate lifting one foot at a time for an added challenge. How long can you hold your plank?!
No matter where your summer travels take you, keep this workout circuit (try it 3 or 4 times around) in your back pocket to make sure you are moving your body and feeling your very best!
