I don’t know about you but in addition to watching a good grocery haul, I love seeing new and different meal ideas from people I follow online (and IRL!). It’s nice to mix things up every once in a while and try a new dish, or ingredient, that isn’t in your usual rotation. I find that keeping it fresh helps me not burn out on eating healthy, so that I am always looking forward to that meal. Eating healthy shouldn’t feel like a punishment! For me, I try to keep it healthy (all about balance over here!) so I have my favorites that I typically go to for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Today I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite (and easy!) high protein lunches that will keep you full and satisfied for hours… plus they also taste great! Win-win! Given our traveling lifestyle, we also don’t keep a fully stocked kitchen with all of the essentials that you might currently have in your fridge. So I also try to plan meals around similar ingredients for the week so we can get the most out of the ingredients without wasting anything.
-protein smoothie (my favorites are on my “smoothie” highlight on @trainwithtorey)
-healthy egg salad (3 hard boiled egg whites, 1 hard boiled egg, 1 tbsp greek yogurt, mustard, salt pepper)
-high protein yogurt with catalina crunch cereal (I like to add a couple chocolate chips too)
-turkey wraps (turkey, tortilla, lettuce, mustard, onion, etc)
-egg scrambles (easily scramble your favorite veggies with 1 egg, 4 egg whites an turkey bacon)
-taco bowls (pick your favorite protein- shrimp or chicken, and add your favorite toppings)
-salmon bowls (cook in sriracha, honey and soy sauce, add edamame, broccoli, rice)
Now it’s your turn to share… what are you favorite high protein lunch ideas?!
