I notice that the older I get, the more I value my friendships. Not that I haven’t always valued them (my friends are THE BEST!), but since I travel to a new city every month (to live like a local), I don’t have that built-in community of friends that I can meet up with regularly. So when I do have the chance, I am always reminded of how important those relationships are. It’s one of the reasons I decided to host a Friendsgiving event here in Chicago this year. I know a lot of us are missing that sense of community post-covid and I knew how much fun we could have if I brought members of my community together for a day of girl-time and fun! I CAN’T WAIT 🙂
Since I am shopping for my own Friendsgiving outfit for this year, I thought I would share some of the ideas I have had for outfits as I do my own shopping, in case you find yourself invited to (or hosting!) your own Friendsgiving event this year. And since we all have our own levels of ‘fanciness’ on holiday attire, I am sharing looks for every level of holiday flare and fanciness…
1. COZY: joggers // sweatshirt // slippers (Uggs on sale!)
2. CASUAL: sweater // denim // booties (on sale!)
3. ELEVATED: sweater dress // earrings (use code: torey20) // boots
4. FANCY: dress // bag // heels
5. CHIC: jumpsuit // bag // heels
Which outfit is your Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving vibe this year?!
