I’M BACK!!! I spent last week in Dallas at the #LTKcon … but what the heck is that may you ask!? Well, @shopLTK is the shopping platform for you as a consumer to shop all of the outfits I post. It’s essentially where I link everything that’s shoppable for you! The company behind it all (LIKEtoKNOW.it) has an invite-only conference once a year for creators like myself to come together, network, strategize, build relationships with other creators, meet with the faces of brands we work with and love, and ultimately, focus on our business to strengthen our strategies and industry relationships. (phew, that was a mouth full!) In a nutshell, it’s much like any other corporate conference out there, but for bloggers. It was actually my third year attending and I am SO incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend and learn. So thank you to YOU for shopping my links to get me there! You guys really are the best and the reason I get to do this amazing job every single day. Without further ado, let’s answer some of your frequently asked questions about #LTKcon in today’s blog post!

Let’s get right into the questions you girls asked me on Instagram!
Can you explain what #LTKcon is to us non-influencers?
Essentially it’s a conference for bloggers 🙂 It’s an invite-only conference hosted by LTK once a year for bloggers to come together, network, strategize, build relationships with other creators, meet with the faces of brands we work with and love, and ultimately focus on our business to strengthen our strategies and industry relationships (wow that’s a mouthful haha)
How do you get invited to #LTKcon?
It’s invite only and based on your performance from the previous year! I think it’s analytics like revenue, followers, and maybe a few other factors too 🙂
What was your favorite part of the whole trip?
Definitely meeting the people behind the brands I work with and aspire to work with! It’s so nice to put a face to the name since this job can be a bit isolating behind a computer or phone all day, every day. It was also so fun seeing some of my blogger friends I’ve known for 6+ years and meeting them IRL!
Honest question- does it feel cliquey with other bloggers there?
NOT AT ALL 🙂 Since I’ve been in this industry for almost 7 years I feel like I’ve met a ton of bloggers at various events over the years and every time we see each other it’s just the best. It’s a blast to catch up and chit chat IRL! It’s also fun to meet girls I’ve never actually met but only messaged or chatted with over instagram.
Do you get to pick your roommate or are they assigned?
You get to pick (and have to pay yourself haha). So some like to get a hotel room alone or if you know another blogger going you can join forces to split the room!
Would love to know what you learned and how you can implement that into your business?
I learned SO MUCH this year through the classroom sessions and keynote speakers! It’s always so motivating coming back from an event like this where you’re surrounded by like-minded and successful women. There’s always something to learn since this industry and business is constantly evolving and changing, it blows my mind. There are some exciting new LTK features on the app coming out (definitely go follow me here if you aren’t already). I learned more in terms of managing my business on the backend, there was tons of info on how to create a successful holiday strategy, what brands are looking for in partnerships, how my blogger friends create/edit/post content they create, and so much more!
Did you get lots of free goodies?
There were a lot of brands there passing along some of their newest products since we (as bloggers) are often times the faces of brands, it’s important we try things out first and give our honest feedback. LTK also gave us some great swag bags this year for paying to attend 🙂
Best advice for new content creators that want to enter the space?
Honestly, just START! I think a lot of people avoid starting because fear of perfection (been there done that), but there’s so much room for everyone in this space to create and grow! Just start posting on your IG and blog and that’s the first big hurdle. Once you’ve done that, it’s all a learning process and you learn as you go! I taught myself everything by googling or chatting with others, so it’s totally doable.
Any other questions?! Feel free to message me on Instagram or leave a comment here on this blog post! One last thing I have to say is: I’m truly SO GRATEFUL FOR ALL OF YOU! Your support over the years has helped me attend #LTKcon three times and I’m forever thankful for you! Also another huge shoutout to LTK- their support, guidance, assistance, knowledge, and expertise in this industry is unbelievable! They’re the best and I’m SO APPRECIATIVE for them over the years to help my business succeed and get to where I am today! Ok, I have to close out this blog post before I start getting emotional 😉
