CLICK TO SHOP THE POST + SOME OF MY AUSTIN LOOKS:
Howdy ya’ll!!! Austin, Texas truly is amazing! We spent a month living here during February (and although it was a bit chillier than usual), we still had a blast. It’s a very chill city with a lot of outdoor activities, so we’ll definitely try and come back when it’s warmer! However, there are still a ton of things to do, lots to eat/drink, etc, so I’m sharing everything with you in this blog post as a travel guide for your upcoming visit (any time of the year)! If you are planning a visit and want to get some great photos (pic or it didn’t happen), be sure to check out the Most Instagrammable Mural Spots in ATX!
WHAT TO DO:
- rent boats at Retro Boat Rentals near the water (bring drinks onboard)
- walk South Congress (eat/drink/shop here)
- walk Rainey St (lots of bars/kinda wild)
- walk the path along the river that stretches the entire city of Austin (I did this every morning and loved it)
- rent kayaks/stand up paddle boards
- Zilker Park
- Barton Springs Pool: a natural spring pool that stays at 68 degrees year round
- tour Governor’s Mansion

WHERE TO STAY:
We rented a beautiful, 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment from Stay Kasa which is a newer to me short term, furnished rental company but had the best experience! We were centrally located downtown and a quick walk away from South Congress, so couldn’t have asked for a better high-rise building location. The amenities in the building were great like a gym and pool if those interest you! They have rentals in other cities too so definitely check them out!
OTHER TIPS/TRICKS FOR ATX:
As you know we are traveling around without a car, so we utilized scooters the most! They have Lime and Bird but we found Bird to be better and more convenient. Truly they’re so much fun and quick, so be careful!
I also wanted to note how sweet and kind everyone in ATX was! Such a friendly state, that was so appreciated 🙂 I hope you have a great trip to Austin, TX and find my travel guide to be helpful!
