As we all start out the year, the newest buzz word on Instagram this week seems to be “vision board”. I’ve heard of this before, and feel like I essentially created vision boards all the time when I was in junior high with magazine clippings! So what is a vision board? Well a vision board is usually a collage of images that represent goals and dreams that you’re hoping to achieve. It can include cut-out pictures from magazines and words (or nowadays, screenshots of images from Pinterest) that help inspire you to manifest your dreams and get where you want to go. Today I’m going to share how to easily create a 2022 vision board from your phone or computer that’ll inspire you this year!
Vision boards are amazing for visual learners, like myself! They can also help us imagine what a positive future could look like for us. Imagining a positive future is a helpful way to increase positive emotions and remain optimistic. And positive emotions often create opportunities and increase the chances of success!
For personal reasons, and setting some private goals, I’ve decided to keep my vision board to myself at this time (the vision board examples above are all found on Pinterest). Although, it is the lock screen on my phone and computer so I see it daily which is a GREAT visual reminder of what I want to achieve in 2022! Now let’s go over how to create your 2022 vision board masterpiece 😉 This is what I did and I hope it works for you too!
HOW TO CREATE YOUR 2022 VISION BOARD:
Find images from a google search such as “motivational quotes”, “healthy smoothie”, “beach sunset”, etc. Or you can also do this search on Pinterest! I found Pinterest to be the most useful, inspiring, and efficient when searching for what I wanted to put on my board. Essentially, you’ll want to screenshot about 10-20 words, quotes, or inspirational photos and save them to a folder on your computer or phone. After you’ve done this, you’ll want to create a Canva.com login, or even download the free app! Piece the images together, some larger, some smaller, and paste them onto a blank document. There’s truly no rhyme or reason to this, but I found it super therapeutic and calming to compile! It definitely got my creative juices flowing and I loved it! You could even just go “old school” and clip words or images from magazines and glue/tape to a sheet of paper or poster board.
That’s it! Once you’re finished, make sure you set your 2022 vision board somewhere where you’ll see it daily- whether that be your desk, your computer screen background, iPhone background, etc…that way you’ll manifest and visualize reaching the goals you’ve set for yourself on this 2022 vision board! I set it as the backdrop of my desktop computer as well as to my iPhone lock screen.
Here’s to hoping all of our 2022 visions come true and we inspire to be the best version of ourselves!! Cheers to our best year yet babes 😉
