Greetings, Babes! I was able to partner with Princess Cruises and sail on the maiden voyage of their brand-new ship, the Enchanted Princess. I am sharing a full review of the ship along with some of my favorite features and activities! I’m sure you followed along on Instagram, but I’m diving deeper today in this blog post to share some of my favorite parts and experiences onboard the Enchanted Princess!
We flew into Fort Lauderdale on Thursday night so that we could be up early on Friday to board the ship. We were only on the cruise for three nights, but it was the perfect amount of time. We spent Friday and Saturday at sea, and on Sunday, we arrived bright and early to the Bahamas where we got to explore Princess’ very own private island, Princess Cays! We opted for a fun kayaking excursion, but there are so many other options you can choose from. Unwind with a drink in a beach chair, or explore the island and all it has to offer!
Now back to the Enchanted Princess: when we first set foot on the ship, we were blown away by the luxurious Piazza. It is on the main level in the center of the ship and bordered by spiral staircases and glass elevators. Everything was brand new with A+ finishes and elegantly designed. It feels like you’re straight out of a movie!
We immediately went to our stateroom to drop off our luggage. When we got near our door, the censor picked up our Medallion and immediately unlocked. Our names were displayed on the screen next to the door which made us feel at home and was such a nice touch. When we walked in, we were impressed with the design. The layout was so well done that it made 222 square feet feel like a palace. The raised beds allowed for suitcase storage underneath which was such a smart idea. The closets were spacious and there were even cabinets for more storage. The bathroom was beautiful yet practical. I even loved the cute little balcony with two chairs to sit out in the morning in my robe, enjoy the ocean breeze, and drink my coffee!
As it was lunch by the time we got situated, we were starving. We made our way to the buffet and had a FEAST! The food exceeded our expectations. Every day the buffet would change so you never got tired of their countless, delicious options. We had the breakfast buffet every morning and could not get enough of the omelettes! The breakfast spread was truly unreal. For dinner, we ate at their three specialty restaurants. Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria was our restaurant on the first night. We ended up getting seated next to this great couple and spent a lot of the trip with them after that. The Italian food was delicious, and we ate it ALL. My three pasta flight was superb. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the pizza parlor, Gigi’s Pizzeria. It is without a doubt the best cruise ship pizza out there. Pro tip- get a pizza to go on the last night and put it in the fridge. Then bring it to the airport for a snack on your flight home 😉 Yes, I got made fun of incessantly while walking through the airport, but it was worth it when I was starved on the flight home and had a delicious pizza to munch on.
On Saturday, we spent the day at sea. This was the perfect opportunity to hit up the Lotus Spa! When we arrived, we were invited to disrobe and then wait in Enclave, Princess’ thermal suite! I lounged on the heated beds and then topped it off with the Caldarium- a light steam chamber infused with herbal aromas. Then it was time for the massage. I have never had a message longer than an hour, so I opted to treat myself to the 100-minute option. It was A-MAZ-ING! My therapist, Chix, worked her magic hands and made me feel like a new woman. This was definitely a highlight of the cruise.
On the last night, we decided we had to go see one of Princess’ famous shows. Their newest show, 5- Skies, blew us away. It is their most technologically advanced show to date and followed “Player 1” as he journeyed through a series of increasingly difficult levels, encountering new characters and challenges along the way. The music was incredible (I’m a sucker for Lady Gaga) and the dancing was top notch. I highly recommend doing this on your next Princess Cruise.
The giant pool deck was another incredible feature of the Enchanted Princess. Unfortunately, it rained off and on throughout our cruise so we didn’t get to use it as much as I would have hoped. However, we had many a drink at the pool bar throughout the day and at night. Also, on Friday night we laid out on the pool chairs, under the full moon sky, which had been adorned with fluffy blankets and pillows, and watched The Jungle Book which was projected on their enormous screen above the pool.
This was an incredible and unforgettable cruise, and the Enchanted Princess is definitely the nicest ship I have ever been on! Stay tuned on the blog for more details on what it’s like traveling and cruising post-covid, as well as the Medallion and all the ways it made my vacation with Princess Cruises so amazing!
A huge thank you to Princess Cruises for partnering with me in today’s blog post! And thank you for supporting all of the brands I love to work with on Torey’s Treasures!
