We spent a week at the beginning of September in Cabo, Mexico- one of my favorite travel destinations ever! If you haven’t been yet, you *must* check out The Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, which is the resort I stayed at for the second time (the first time I visited Pueblo Bonito was back in 2017). It was an absolute treat to be back, enjoy some of the beautiful Mexican sunshine, delicious food and drinks, have a little fun, relax, and enjoy it all with my favorite person! Keep reading for why I will keep coming back to this hotel, year after year 🙂
WHERE TO STAY:
Of course, The Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica! Here’s the scoop: Pueblo Bonito has a bunch of properties in Cabo, Mexico, but the *best* one in my opinion, is Pacifica (specifically request to stay in the Towers)! Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is an adults only, all-inclusive resort, that sits on a secluded and romantic beach just minutes from downtown Cabo San Lucas. It’s truly the most ideal location in town, in my opinion!
WHAT TO DO:
There are ENDLESS activities and things to do while staying at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica! You can have it all, depending on what type of vacation you’re looking for- spend a relaxing day at the stunning spa, enjoy poolside drinks with a good vibe, chill on the beach day beds with drinks and food coming your way, or spend the afternoon enjoying downtown Cabo! There is truly something for everyone which I really love! This trip my highlights of our activities were:
- taking the resort shuttle to Pueblo Bonito Rose- this is where you can go in the ocean (it’s warmer than Hawaii water by the way), we had beach chairs for the day, enjoyed Pina coladas, and ate nachos!
- we got a couples massage at Armonia Spa which was truly so relaxing, and something I never wanted to end! It was the most peaceful environment
- this trip we did a beachfront mixology class where the mixologist at the resort came out and taught us how to make his favorite yummy drinks! We enjoyed fish tacos and some delicious drinks right at our daybed which also doubled as the perfect “work from anywhere” office setup 😉
- the fitness center at the resort is truly better than any that I’ve been into, and that’s a lot! I live for a good morning vacation workout, and this one had the most stunning beachfront views with the best fitness equipment.
- we also ventured into downtown Cabo San Lucas a couple times which was so fun! I love seeing and experiencing the culture of Mexico firsthand.
WHERE TO EAT/DRINK:
There are SO MANY restaurant options to choose from when you stay at Pueblo Bonito! There are a couple at the Pacifica resort, but then you also have the opportunity to eat at any of the other restaurants, since it’s an all inclusive resort! The food and drinks at Pueblo Bonito were truly unmatched, and such great quality! Some of our absolute FAVORITES on our trip were:
- Siempre: the brunch buffet at the property. We had an omelette bar daily, tons of fresh fruit and juice, pastries and breads, and my favorite- the churro French toast! They made the best lattes and mimosas to sip on and enjoy the pool overlooking the ocean view every day!
- Quivira Steakhouse: this is a *must* for dinner one night! Definitely make a reservation as it fills up quickly, and then you will get shuttled to the golf course for dinner. This was my favorite by far- the ambience, the food, the table side drinks, the dessert- everything was stunning and so romantic here, including the most picturesque sunset!
- Sunset TeePee Experience: this was a fun experience and something you can book if you’d like. The chefs and servers from the higher end restaurant on property, Peninsula, came out onto the beach to prepare the most magical evening for us. The food was delish and drinks were perfection!
- Like I mentioned before, Peninsula is a great dinner option, as well as Pescado which are both on property. There are tons of other restaurants and markets at the other Pueblo Bonito locations, but we enjoyed keeping it local.
OTHER HELPFUL TIPS:
I totally recommend booking a butler for your stay! We had the best and sweetest woman our entire stay assisting us with any of our questions or needs. She helped us arrange dinner reservations every day, booked our spa treatments, helped us get around and into town, and even arranged airport transportation for us. She was always a phone call or text away if we wanted room service or had any questions about the resort and property itself! It’s an added benefit that makes you feel comfortable and at home 🙂
I also recommend taking an uber if you go into town- it’s so close, easy, and very affordable! Definitely try and make it into the ocean while visiting Cabo and even book a boat trip out to the arches if you can- I did this last time and it was so much fun!
Let me know if you have any questions at all about visiting Cabo, Mexico! It is truly one of my favorite places in the world- I love the culture, the food, the atmosphere, and love speaking Spanish with the locals 🙂 I can help answer any questions you may have! XO
