I have to say it’s taken me quite a few months to write this blog post because looking back at these NYC photos from our TWO MONTHS spent living there brings back alllll the memories! We loved every single second living in the city and it’s still our top contender of cities we’ve lived in after 11 months of traveling around and living somewhere new each month! It’s the city we keep coming back to, the city we have the best memories of, and the city that we explored the most of, and took full advantage of being in. We truly love NYC so much, after visiting in the Fall I wrote this New York City Fall Travel Guide, we knew we had to make it back for another season, so springtime it was! And oh my gosh was it perfect. We arrived when it was still crisp outside, then watching the cherry blossoms bloom, the city come alive, the days get longer, and the nights feel warmer, was really something amazing! If you ever get a chance to visit NYC during the Fall or Spring, please jump on the opportunity, it’s magical! Today I’m sharing everything we did that we didn’t get around to in the Fall, or that we loved so much we did all over again! As you know there is SO MUCH to do and see in the city that you really need awhile to get the hang of it, see everything, and by the end of our few months in NYC, we realized we still hadn’t seen it all (but we did feel like locals)!
WHERE TO STAY:
This time around we stayed in the Financial District at Mint House on 70 Pine! It really was one of our best stays for many reasons. Each unit was super spacious, home-y feeling, had the best kitchen amenities, and no joke, THE COZIEST/DREAMIEST beds we’ve ever slept in! We keep talking about how when we settle down, we’re 100% buying the exact same mattress, duvet, and pillows that Mint House had 😉 we got some of the best night’s of sleep ever! They have all size units as well depending on your specific party size. Beyond the bedroom, the staff was incredibly accommodating, nice, and friendly, and the basement gym was great (since you know we can’t skip a workout)! Not only were the interiors of 70 Pine great, but you’re located in a great part of FiDi where you can access any subway train within a quick 1-2 minute walk…it’s SO convenient! Definitely recommend checking into Mint House, and they have tons of locations across the U.S. as well!
WHAT TO DO:
Definitely check out my NYC Fall Travel Guide where I share a TON of first-timer, must-see, NYC stops! This time around since we felt more comfortable in the city, we ventured over to Brooklyn and Williamsburg a few times, and even really explored each and every neighborhood a little deeper. Each neighborhood is so unique and different and they each have their own feel. Our favorite neighborhoods are:
 West Village
Upper East Side
Upper West Side
SohoÂ
Because we happened to be in New York during the blooming of the cherry blossoms (mid-April typically), we had to venture to see them! The best spots are the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Roosevelt Island, and you can catch some in Central Park as well. Highly recommend seeing this, it was magical!
We also rode Citi bikes around Central Park and along the Westside Highway (bike path), and along the Brooklyn Bridge bike path A TON! It was one of the best ways to see the city and get some exercise at the same time 🙂 truly our favorite NYC pastime to ride our bikes to a coffee shop or pizza stand and then wander around haha
It just so happened that baseball season was starting up, so we went to one Yankees game, grabbed a beer, and enjoyed the scene! Such an iconic spot up in Queens, we had to go to check it off the list 🙂
Last thing we did this time that was unique and different was took the subway out to Coney Island…another iconic “must do” type of activity if you’re in the city for an extended period! We rode the famous roller coaster and had a blast haha!
WHERE TO EAT/DRINK:

TIPS ON GETTING AROUND:
100% utilize the public transit! We took the subway and rode citi bikes nearly every single day, and occasionally hopped on the ferries. Public transit is the quickest way to get around, and honestly the most adventurous too. It’s fairly easy to figure out the subways with simply google maps on your phone. Walking is of course another insanely good way to get around the city! Make sure you pack comfortable shoes 😉
