I’m always looking for fun workout and fitness motivation, especially now that we’re heading straight towards bikini, shorts, and tank top season! I thought it’d be a good idea to round up EVERYTHING that I use on a daily basis in terms of my workout routine: pre-workout, during my workout, and post-workout! I’m breaking it down today with my supplements, my favorite activewear and shoes, and how I stay on track during my workouts!
PRE-WORKOUT: about 15 minutes before my workout begins, I like to give myself that little extra push of energy by taking one scoop of the Alani Nu pre workout! All of their flavors are delicious, and will get you perked up and ready to workout.
DURING MY WORKOUT: during my workout I think it’s crucial to drink some BCAA’s for hydration and to help with muscle soreness. I love the Alani Nu BCAA’s, especially their sour peach rings flavor, but honestly they’re all delicious. I also use my booty bands weekly, especially on leg days! I can’t get through a workout without my Apple Airpods (these are noise cancelling + my favorite) and my Apple Watch (with the cutest gold band). I typically put the setting on “strength training” since I’m mostly lifting weights, and like to see my heart rate and the time I’ve been working out. I do have a full Apple Watch review if you’re interested in how else I use my watch on the daily. Can’t forget about my #1 favorite and most worn pair of leggings: the Lululemon Align leggings. They’re buttery soft, stay put during all types of workouts, and are truly SO comfortable. I’m super particular about leggings and these check all the boxes! I’ve recently found out about Lululemon Wunder Train leggings which are JUST like the Align on the outside, but more durable, breathable, and cooling during the sweatiest workouts. I wear size 4 in both of these styles and won’t wear any other leggings…truly, they’re that good! It’s also important to have comfortable shoes that are supportive yet not too heavy- these APL sneakers are everything (worth every $), just be sure to size up 1/2 size. I love that they’ll last you years because you can simply throw them in the washer on cold + hang dry… they’ll come out good as new.
POST-WORKOUT: drinking 25+ grams of protein post workout is crucial to building that lean, long muscle that we’re all after. My favorite brand of protein powder is is0100- the macros are great and all their flavors are delicious. If you follow along on Instagram, you know I’ve been super into the fruity pebbles lately, just mix with water in your shaker cup. Yum!
