Coming at you today with a little fitness Friday post to inspire you to get in shape or get back on track if you put it on the back burner in 2020! If not now, when? There’s never a better time to gain control of your health and fitness and feel confident again! I get asked this frequently, so I thought today I”d share some tips and tricks that really help me reel everything back in when I’ve fallen off track and could help you get back on your fitness and health journey.
TIPS FOR GETTING BACK IN SHAPE OR STARTING YOUR JOURNEY:
Drink 100+ ounces of water: technically you should be drinking at LEAST 1/2 your body weight in ounces, but drinking 120 ounces of water is my sweet spot. This hydro flask + straw helps me a ton!
Find a workout you love: this sounds so cheesy, but dang is it true! The only way to get your body moving daily is to do what you love. I actually love lifting weights, spinning, and going on walks so those are always my go-to workouts that I know I’ll look forward to! PS- my peloton name is: toreystreasures
Treat your workout like a meeting: schedule it into your day! It’ll become a habit soon enough and you won’t be able to start your day without it 😉
Don’t ignore your eating habits: start small with your eating habits to create a better, more sustainable long term result! For example, cut out soda and drink bubbly water instead. Cook at home Monday through Friday, and save eating out for the weekends only. Remember that eating is 80% and working out is 20% of getting in shape. The little things will add up to the big picture!
Starting your healthy lifestyle journey isn’t always easy, but these tips and tricks for getting in shape can help you establish a sustainable routine to achieve you fitness goals.
