Tis the season to eat, drink, and be merry! I know this time of year can seem almost impossible to continue your healthy lifestyle, especially being in the heart of holiday season with cold winter days upon us! Working out, staying active and in-shape seems to fall to the bottom of the list, even for me sometimes. But having a fool-proof game plan that will set you up for success is key to staying motivated and getting more active right now. My new adidas ZX 2K Boost sneakers from Finish Line are going to be my saving grace all winter long and are sure to keep me on my feet during the holidays! 😉
There’s no better day than today to get off on the right foot! Today on the blog I’m sharing my favorite tried and true ways you can get even more active this winter:
- NEW WORKOUT GEAR: it’s a proven fact and amazing what a new pair of shoes can do for your motivation! The excitement of getting to wear my new adidas ZX 2K Boost sneakers here in Boston makes my motivation sky rocket. You know I’m a long time adidas fan, so when I put these shoes on I knew they were no different. The reviews don’t lie, and I 100% recommend them to everyone! - LISTEN TO YOUR SMART WATCH: pay attention when it tells you to stand, and make sure you reach your 10k a day steps goal! It’s no secret that I love to go on daily walks and I’m so excited to explore the parks and streets of Boston this month. My daily walks are alone time where I can really tune out the world momentarily, listen to a podcast, and refocus my energy on something positive for my mental and physical health!
- SET A GAME PLAN AHEAD OF TIME: whether it’s signing up for virtual workout classes for the week on Sundays, or knowing your gym routine the night before, it’s important to make sure this is scheduled into your day to day. Scheduling your workout in your calendar will hold you accountable and set you up for success!
- GET A WORKOUT BUDDY: if that means taking your dog to the dog park or down the street to the local coffee shop, do it! Also consider signing up for a virtual workout class, or working out in the park with your bestie. Working out with someone you enjoy is some of the most fun and easiest exercise you can get in! It really doesn’t feel like a workout when you’re having fun!
Don’t forget, if your motivation right now is lacking because it’s cold out, and the holidays are here, remember: the best way to boost your exercise motivation is to treat yourself to some activewear from Finish Line!
