I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I’ve traveled on a plane! Of course, I’m no the only one, right?! Well, if you saw my recent life update, then you know I’m off to the east coast for the next 30ish days, and traveling by plane was necessary. I had a lot of questions asking what it was like, if I felt safe, how was it handled, etc, so I wanted to cover that topic today in a full blog post for everyone wondering!
Of course, if you have the option, a road trip or traveling by car is probably your safest bet! However, I will say, I was thoroughly impressed with the airports, airplanes, and most passengers as we traveled from coast to coast! Before you book your travel, make sure you check the travel restrictions, some states/cities have different requirements as to showing a negative covid test, quarantining for a certain amount of time, etc. If you are planning on traveling, make sure you:
- wear a mask over your mouth AND your nose- I recommend face shield also for extra protection!
- stay at least 6+ feet away from everyone at all times if possible!
- wash your hands frequently + use hand sanitizer as much as you can!
- wipe down all areas that you will be touching, sitting on, etc
- avoid touching your eyes, mouth, nose, face, at all costs!
I do wish all airlines continued to block out the middle seat, so you could have some personal space, so maybe double check that your airline does this as an extra precaution! We are now at our destination, safe and sound, so all went well!
Do you have any upcoming travel plans?! Or have you traveled recently!? Tell me in the comments below and feel free to share your opinion…
