As you all know, I’m currently a FWTFL coach, which is a nutrition and fitness program! In this program, I teach you all about tracking macros, and always get so many questions from interested clients so I figured I would share more about it today. I wanted to dive deeper about MY WHY and why I love to tracking macros! They are truly so beneficial and have helped me so much fuel my body properly.
A little back story about me: I’ve always been super active and have always eaten healthy! I love working out and I try and feed my body with about 80% healthy foods and 20% treats. That’s what life is all about, balance right?! I found myself eating healthy all the time and working out every single day with little to no results. I thought I had hit a plateau and wasn’t seeing the results I wanted after putting in so much hard work!
What are macros: Macronutrients are essentially the proteins, fats, and carbohydrates that you eat daily. Tracking them allows you to see how many proteins, fats, and carbs you eat daily.
How I track my macros: I use MyFitnessPal app which is free (although I prefer the premium paid version for additional features). I’m happy to teach you how to do this and how I carb cycle in my FWTFL round if you get signed up here!
Everything changed once I started tracking macros consistently! My body composition is getting stronger, leaner, and I’ve noticed the results I was looking for after all these years! As you can see, I love all of the benefits that come along with counting macros!
Here is why I track my macros:
- I feel so much more in control with my eating, yet have SO much freedom with exactly what I eat
- I know I’m fueling my body with the right foods it needs to stay strong + lose body fat
- I am able to eat what I LOVE daily without yielding any results
- I’ve gained so much insight into what truly fuels my body + how it makes me feel
- It’s so easy to do!
As you can see, tracking my macros consistently has been the biggest game changer for me!
