I’m sooo excited about today’s blog post because it’s the best time of the year: the much anticipated Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is so soon! Today I’m covering everything you need to know to shop the sale, including a few tips you’ll want to know before you shop! I’ll be covering the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in it’s entirety to EASILY prepare you (without feeling overwhelmed). I’ll take you through all the steps of creating a strategy to shopping, my favorite things to shop during the sale, how sizing runs, all sale categories, so on and so forth. What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale + why is it such a big deal!?
Every year Nordstrom releases NEW Fall and Winter merchandise at majorly discounted prices. It is the time to stock up on all things sweaters, boots, denim, bags, etc that will go back up to full price all season long once the sale is over! Kind of like a backwards sale
When can I start shopping!?
- All cardmembers can shop Early Access starting August 13—shop even earlier depending on your Nordy Club status.
- Anniversary Sale is open to everyone August 19–30. Prices go up August 31.
- You can shop the sale in-store during normal business hours.
- Online shopping begins at 9:30am ET/6:30am PT.
OK- listen up! There are two shopping periods of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The Early Access and Public Access. Every single year items in-store and online sell out ASAP during the Early Access shopping period, so if you are wanting to get your hands on the most coveted items the Early Access is the way to go. You can ONLY shop with the Early Access if you have a Nordstrom Credit Card Number (you don’t have to actually use it during the sale, but it will allow you to gain access to the sale prices).
How can I get early access to shopping the sale?
Like mentioned above, THIS IS KEY. If you sign up HERE (hurry), you’ll get $40 bonus “note” basically like cash, right away towards your purchase! Another benefit of the card- you earn 3 points per $1 spent, which can earn you “Nordstrom Notes” which is free $ towards your next purchase!
What’s going to be on sale?!
The sale covers ALL new released Fall/Winter items for a huge discount! Think brands like Free People, Madewell, Tory Burch, and so much more! Prices will go back up for the entire season once the sale is over.
What can I expect from Torey to share about the sale?!
I’ll be covering everything from live coverage on my Instagram stories to dressing room try-ons, blog post round ups of all categories including clothing, shoes, boots, denim, coats/jackets, fitness, home, and more! I also plan on doing Nordstrom giveaways throughout the next couple weeks!
Torey’s 3 insider tips for shopping:
- BUY: Nordstrom has great customer service, free shipping, and free returns. I hate regretting not buying something, and then come to find out it’s either sold out OR unavailable in my size. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is notorious for everything selling out super fast (and it most likely won’t be restocked), so I recommend shopping everything ONLINE where you can easily find your size + add it to your cart ASAP. Basically: buy here online and you can decide what to keep and what to return later!
- SHOP EARLY + SHOP FAST: Shopping Early Access is the best thing because you basically get first dibs on all the cutest Fall items! Don’t delay when you see something you like because items tend to sell out quickly without getting restocked. Like I mentioned, you can always return it for free later!
- MAKE A SHOPPING LIST: Make a quick list of things you think you’ll need for Fall + Winter. For me, these are always staple items I know I’ll wear all season long: denim, cardigans + jackets, booties, leggings, tees, etc. This is also a great time to buy designer items because they are marked down to affordable prices. Making a list ensures I don’t go overboard, and stick to what I need, not what I want!
