I’m sure I’m not alone when I say it’s 100% time to get back on track after the 4th of July weakend! We ended up going down to Newport Beach and renting a boat for the day which was such a blast, but that also came along with eating out + enjoying a couple drinks! I’m definitely feeling like it’s time to get back on track, and what better day, than today!? Monday is a fresh start to the week and a clean state to get it together! Today I’m sharing my fool-proof tips to getting back on track with your health + fitness…
It’s never too late if you’ve fallen off the bandwagon to get back on track to reaching your goals! Better late than never, right!? Getting back on track doesn’t have to feel impossible, and I’m here today to share what I personally do to get myself on the right path again. We all have those days or weekends where we lose motivation or steam, but hopefully with this plan of action you can get off on the right foot (literally)!
- SCHEDULE WORKOUTS INTO YOUR WEEK: This goes without saying, but when I feel good physically, I also feel good mentally. Scheduling in daily workouts is key to getting on track! Thank goodness I have my FASTer Way 30 min/day workouts scheduled, so I can accomplish those and feel good about my day (FYI I have another round starting shortly, so get signed up here ASAP if you’re interested)! I’ve recently started throwing in some pickleball and jump roping into my days to get a little extra cardio while having fun, try it. Plan workouts that you love to get your body moving.
- DRINK 100 OZ OF WATER: This is key to getting your body back + feeling right! Drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces is so important for skin health and physical health. I try and stay hydrated by drinking 100 ounces of water a day! This water bottle keeps my water cold + I just refill it 2-3 times a day and I can easily keep track of how much water I drink daily.
- MEAL PLANNING: I like to have things in the house that are whole foods and items that can be easily turned into meals. Think: a couple lean protein options, lots of greens, and healthy carb options (like fruit, oats, or banza pasta). This way you can utilize and kind of mix and match your groceries to create yummy and healthy meals for the week! Kick the sugar out of the house, because personally, if it’s around it’s too tempting.
- CLEAN UP: I always say if your house is clean your mind is clear! I always feel so much more productive and accomplished when I start the day by making my bed and ensuring that my house is picked up! Physical space truly does impact your mental space.
I hope this was helpful for you to kickstart your week and get back on track! It’s not always easy to get back on track, but it is possible if you make a commitment to do so. No matter the case, in the grand scheme of things, if you get back on track when you mess up, grind it out and stick to the plan, you may actually end up even further ahead than you ever imagined.
XO,
Torey
