Over the last 6 years that I’ve been blogging (oh my goodness wow), I’ve definitely learned A LOT!! I’ve learned all of this by trial and error, doing my research on google, and teaching myself from start to finish! Since blogging is truly all new territory and a newer career, there really is no guide or rule book that lays it all out for people like me who want answers! So I’ve had to learn everything on my own which makes it all that much rewarding at the end. Things in the blogging and social media industry are always evolving, always changing, and blogging is definitely a fast paced job. With that being said, I thought it would be helpful for those that are newer in the blogging world, to share the apps I currently use on my iPhone daily to help me succeed at my job! It truly is amazing that bloggers can work from anywhere and from their phone at their fingertips, isn’t it!?
SOCIAL APPS:
INSTAGRAM: This is a no brainer- but this is the queen of all apps! If you’re not following me @toreystreasures yet, be sure to search and give me a follow (especially on Instagram stories!)
REWARDSTYLE: This is what I use on the backend to link everything through LIKEtoKNOW.it! This is an easy way to shop all of my outfits that you see!
PLANOLY: This is a great app to plan, edit, and schedule your social media content! You can’t actually have the app automatically post for you, but it will send you a push notification to remind you to post your scheduled content which is helpful.
Torey’s Treasures APP: This is a fun way to create your own “app” for your website and to reference it quickly! All you do is open your web browser on your iPhone, click the arrow at the bottom, click “add to home screen”, edit the name/website and then click “add”! Ta da!
PHOTO APPS:
PHOTO GRID: This is a great app to create collages or before/after photos, etc.
LIGHTROOM: This is where I edit ALL of my photos for instagram, for my blog, for collaborations, for everything! I created my own Preset which is a one-click edit to make your photos more cohesive! Click here to purchase!
SNAPSEED: This is a photo editing app that a lot of people use, but personally it’s a bit confusing for me so I’m not a fan.
STORY ART: This is an app that has templates that will help you create super neat looking instagram stories!
UNFOLD: This is another app that has a ton of different templates you can use for your stories, blog posts or Pinterest. You can get really creative on this and Story Art if you want too!
FACETUNE: This is an app I rarely use, but if needed I’ll smooth out wrinkles in my clothes on photos, or retouch anything in a photo that needs to be! It’s pretty simple and easy to use too.
INSHOT: I love this app for making videos! It’s almost like iMovie but for your phone and way easier to use! You can crop videos, edit videos, add music, add text to videos, add a voiceover, and so many more cool features! This is what I use to create IGTV’s and to create some of my workout videos for Instagram.
CANVA: This app makes me feel like a graphic designer (which I am far from)! But it’s easy to use features allow me to create graphics for marketing, graphics for blog posts, graphics for instagram stories, and graphics for gift guides! Definitely something to browse and explore!
RETOUCH: This is a great app if you need to retouch something in a photo like a telephone pole that is in the background, or graffiti on the background of a wall photo, or someone in the background of your photo making a funny face, etc.
