One thing I love about fashion is the creativity behind it all and finding the versatility in items! I recently picked up this $31 dress from Nordstrom and didn’t think much of it until I started shopping my own closet and realized it could be styled so many different ways, for all sorts of occasions! I love doing this with items because I know I’ll get my moneys worth. In today’s blog post you’ll see I took this simple dress (with a dreamy side slit) and styled it all sorts of fun ways depending on your personal style. A couple things to note about this dress: it’s very thick material (NOT see through), super duper stretchy and comfortable, and I sized up to a S so it would be a better/looser fit.
SHOES: Vans // JACKET: Old Navy
This is a casual style that is definitely the most “me” outfit! I love a good comfortable outfit, maybe it’s the California style in me. This is perfect for running errands, wearing to go shopping, or even out to brunch with the girls!
KIMONO: Amazon // BOOTS: Sam Edelman (similar here and here) // HAT: Lack of Color (identical $44 hat here)
This is definitely a boho look that I think is super fun! I’d definitely wear this to a concert, trip to Nashville or Palm Springs, or even just out to dinner!
BLAZER: H&M (similar here) // LOAFERS: Gucci (under $100 here)
This look is obviously more sophisticated and chic than the others, but still so cute! I love a good pulled together look like this in all neutrals. Very classy!
TEE: Chaser (similar here) // SNEAKS: Greats
This is such a fun way to style a dress- it’s disguised as a midi dress when you simply knot a tee on top! I have to say this look is definitely at the top of my favorites. It’s super fun for any casual occasion!
SANDALS: Steven // CHAMBRAY: J. Crew
Wait, now this actually might be my favorite look out of them all! It’s perfect to wear now as we transition into spring. The lightweight chambray tied is perfect to wear during the cooler mornings, and then simply take it off and tie around your waist in the afternoons as it warms up! Perfect look for an upcoming vacay.
What look was your favorite?! I love showing the versatility of items because you’ll feel more confident purchasing when you know your cost per wear. Definitely worth it when it’s a staple item that only cost $31 too! Let me know if you want to see more of these styling try-ons (and be sure to follow along on Instagram where I share them daily)!
