As you all know, fitness and wellness is a huge part of my lifestyle and I love sharing that with you! I love living a balanced life in every aspect, but there are a few healthy things I make sure to do daily, and weekly, which have become part of my everyday routine! Try to incorporate a few of these tips into your everyday life and I promise it’ll eventually become a habit, and then second nature. You’ll feel so good about living a balanced life while also feeling accomplished!
Here are a few of the healthy habits I’ve created over time that now I adhere to daily and weekly! They really help me feel accomplished, healthy, and in turn happy! I hope you can relate and incorporate some of them into your routine as well:
- Wake up and make my bed daily: this is a huge one. I can’t start my day until my bed is made. Maybe it’s habit because I’ve been doing it since a young age, but there truly is nothing better! Try it, I promise.
- Workout and daily movement: this is another huge one for me! I have to go to the gym or get my body moving every single day. Although I go to the gym 7 days/week, one of my favorite things to do is go for an evening walk along the beach. Something about ending your day with a peaceful stroll feels amazing!
- Drink lots of water: I try and stay hydrated all day, every day. My favorite trick is to drink out of a water bottle like this one that has a built in straw + keeps your water cold for hours. My goal for daily water intake is typically around 100 oz. and I know they say you’re supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces and then some…
- Homemade dinner in 5 nights/week: We cook a lot at home since it’s healthier + more affordable! It’s always some sort of protein, greens, and healthy carbs which keeps things simple and delicious! I also try and eat protein and some sort of vegetable with every meal, even in my breakfast smoothie (protein + frozen spinach). It truly is a game changer and helps you get in all your macros easily!
- Turn on the dishwasher at night + unload in am: I stick by this daily + it feels so good going to bed with a clean kitchen (dishwasher on). Then when I wake up all I have to do is unload the dishes while finishing up my coffee.
- Skincare routine: I love a good nighttime skincare routine! It doesn’t have to be fancy or lengthy, but as long as you’re consistent with a good Face Cleanser (use code: TOREY), Vitamin C, Moisturizer, and Retinol Eye Serum you’re golden! Your skin will thank you and you’ll maintain younger + brighter looking skin 🙂
- Get enough sleep: this sounds simple but in this day and age I know a lot of people get caught up on Netflix or scrolling their phones. This is truly important to me and although I’m a morning person I need 7-8 hours of solid sleep every night!
