I know it’s only Tuesday, but hey, it’s Taco Tuesday, which means it’s also time to kick up your feet and have a delicious margarita! Skinny margaritas are my #1 order when out at happy hour, but I also love a good homemade one and have the best recipe to share today! It’s guilt-free, easy to make, and will please everyone at happy hour…
Skinny margaritas are the only way to drink a margarita in my opinion. I can’t stand all the sugar that goes into typical drinks that you order out, so I love a good ol skinny margarita (especially out at happy hour paired with chips/guac/salsa). This recipe its super simple to mix together, tastes super refreshing, crisp, and even has a light jalapeño kick to it! Not only is it super low cal, but also low in sugar which is key if you’re having more than one. The fun thing about this recipe is you can adjust it to your liking: don’t like limes? Try blood oranges instead. Need it a little sweeter? Add agave + stir it in!
RECIPE (serving size 1):
Fill cup with ice + add 2/3 the glass with Lime La Croix.
Pour in 1.5 shot of tequila and mix in 1/2 whole lime juiced.
Then fill glass to the top with jalapeño limeade (Trader Joes or other grocery store brand).
Stir + enjoy… cheers!
