As we roll right into a new season, it’s easy to get caught up in the day to day hustle and bustle of our chaotic lives that we (myself included) rarely take a chance to check in with ourselves! We all know how important self care is and ensuring we’re the best and happiest version of ourselves, but do we actually take action?!
A little can go a long way to make yourself happier and be a more positive person which is why I wanted to share some tips with you today! I’d say I’m more of a “glass half full” kind of girl, but we all have those days where we think otherwise. Today I’m so excited to be partnering with Lolë, one of my favorite fitness and athleisure brands you’ve seen me share A TON already, about 5 easy ways you can be happier and more positive right now! - Get ready for the day: this seriously helps SO much! Now that I’m working from home, the minute I put on a little makeup and get dressed as if I were to walk out the door, I feel so accomplished and ready to tackle the day! Although, let’s be real. Working from home means I spend 90% of my time in athleisure, like my outfit I’m wearing in this post from Lolë! They have some of THE most comfortable clothes for everyday errands and workouts. The leggings and sports bra I’m wearing are so buttery soft, it’s like a second skin (+ they come in a few other colors, like the purple I already own). - Workout or move your body: this is KEY! Getting active, even if it’s only for 20 minutes a day will boost your serotonin which is linked to well being and happiness!
- Give someone a compliment and smile: this is a good one! You never know the battles other people are facing, and something as simple as a smile could turn their whole day around. The world needs a little more kindness to be spread!
- Always think of the silver lining: like I mentioned, I’m mostly a positive person, but really turning any situation around to be a positive one or just looking at the positives in any situation will keep your mind right. For example, I recently got a flat tire AND rear-ended in my new car and was so frustrated. Instead of being angry, I looked at the bright side of the situations and felt thankful I even own a car, grateful that I was safe and not hurt, and so on. You have to train yourself, but once you get the hang of being positive, it is everything!
- Surround yourself with good people: they say you are the average of the five people you surround yourself with and I think that’s so true. Find a good group of family, friends, coworkers, that are supportive and encouraging. Uplifting others will come back around in a good way!
I hope these 5 tips were helpful in finding more peace, happiness, and positivity within your day to day! Sometimes all it takes is a minute to regroup your thoughts and actions to get you off on the right foot.
