Hi friends! With warmer weather springing up and bikini season on the horizon, I recently shared what I’ve changed and adjusted in my fitness and health routine lately on the blog and received some great feedback! You seem to LOVE these sort of posts, so I’m coming at you today with another super fun one in partnership with Finish Line! I’ve been getting tons of questions about what the secret to getting a more “toned tummy” or “better abs” is, and I’m here to share what’s been working for me! It’s taken me lots of education, trial and error, and dedication, but I think I’ve finally found 8 ways to help you get more fit and feel more confident in your own skin wearing your bikinis or crop tops this year…
Some of the best ways I’ve found to get that tight and toned tummy for warmer months are:
- Drink more water: I drink about 90+ ounces of water a day
- Abs are made in the kitchen: But really, they truly are! Make sure you eat a well balanced diet of lean proteins and lots of greens.
- Do cardio and HIIT based workouts: Spiking your heart rate then allowing it to come down, and then spiking it back up repeatedly is the best way to burn fat (these sneakers are THE BEST shoes I’ve found for high intensity interval training workouts where you need the most support and boost- they’re so comfortable and cute too!)
- Workout your ab muscles DAILY: my favorite exercises are to do 3 rounds of the following 25x each (bicycles, toe touches, flutter kicks, side plank dips, Russian twists, hold a plank for 1 minute). Do this daily for best results!
