If you’re single this February 14th, maybe you’re looking for ways to spend Valentine’s Day on a happy note! I’m here today to hopefully send some encouragement and love your way! I honestly don’t feel strongly one way or the other about Valentine’s Day because I like to be loved and show love every day of the year to those most important to me, but it does feel extra special on February 14th!
My plans this year are probably going to consist of: spending time with my kiddos at school, getting a workout in (nothing makes me happier than this), and hopefully doing something for myself in the evening to show myself a little self care. I honestly think being happy starts with self love, so today I’m sharing some ideas to ensure you take care of yourself whether you’re single or taken…
Here are a few productive and healthy ways to spend your Valentine’s Day feeling “happy” and “content”. Remember to not feel sorry for yourself, don’t take yourself or life too seriously! Try and commit to making it a positive day… just enjoy and be grateful for what you DO have 🙂 Here are some ideas:
- #1 rule: stay off social media. seriously!
- contact a galentine (aka single friend) to see if they want to get together for happy hour or dinner
- take a bubble bath and play some feel good music
- treat yourself to a pedicure/manicure
- dive into a good book/podcast/movie at home
- cook a healthy meal you’ve been meaning to get to
- go to bed early + get some extra beauty sleep
- plan an upcoming trip you’ve been wanting to take
What are your plans this Valentine’s Day!? If you’re single or in a relationship I hope you spend February 14th feeling happy with wherever you’re at in life 🙂
XOXO
