I know most of my blog readers also follow me along on Instagram which is a great insight into my daily life. So you may have seen that over Spring Break I traveled to Arizona to spend time with my boyfriend. If you don’t know, well he surprised me with a perfect overnight staycation at the Omni Montelucia in Arizona! I couldn’t believe it! The resort is THE. MOST. BEAUTIFUL. property, located on the backside of Camelback Mountain in Paradise Valley. The views are stunning and the atmosphere is relaxing and rejuvenating. Upon arrival, we felt like we were literally transported to a place somewhere far away…we had the absolute best weekend and my inbox was flooded people requesting a hotel review, so here it is 😉

WHAT TO DO:
- There are so many relaxing and rejuvenating things to do on-site! We really enjoyed our time at the pool just hanging out. But also: the SPA. Oh my goodness, it’s amazing! We got a couples massage that was probably the best of our lives, and the spa facilities are incredibly unique. Also, be sure to utilize your spa pool day pass- it has the BEST views of the property and of Camelback Mountain, and it’s where we spent all day! There is also an adult pool and an all ages pool on the property. But my personal favorite was the quiet and gorgeous spa pool.
- You can also ride bikes around the area. We lovvvve to do this! We actually didn’t do it while staying at the hotel, because we have our own bikes that we ride around town to brunch, dinner, and more.
- If you’re into golfing, the area itself has a ton of them!
WHERE TO EAT:
There are are a few great restaurants and good food options onsite, which is what we did while we stayed at the Montelucia. However, because I frequent the area often since my boyfriend lives there, we also love going out to brunch and dinners with a great atmosphere around town.
- At the resort: We ate lunch poolside the first day which was fun to relax and stay casual. We dressed up for dinner and went to Centro, which is the more casual of the two restaurants. We loved the outdoor firepits and Mexican food here.
- At the resort: We had brunch the next morning after our workout at Parma, which is the fancier of the two, but incredible. It has this neat Moroccan/Mexican/Mediterranean feel with unique tile and architecture. The food was great, the views of Camelback were amazing, and not to mention- we sat next to an LA Dodgers player haha.
- Off site restaurants we love: The closest to the hotel is El Chorro- it has an incredible beautiful garden and is a local and tourist favorite.
- Off site restaurants we love: For brunch some of our favorites are The Vig and Over Easy. For lunch we love True Food Kitchen, Chop Shop, and La Grande Orange (or LGO). For dinner our #1 must go-to is North (Italian food). It’s the best!
Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Omni Montelucia. It is so breathtaking and so relaxing! You really do feel like you’ve been transported to a magical place. THANK YOU to my boyfriend for our very special staycation for my birthday! XO
