Now that we’re almost a full month through 2018 (wait already?!), I wanted to check in and see how your year is going so far?! I hope you’re off to a great start, feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already kicking some butt 😉 I’ve been doing a few things that have really helped me set my year off on the right foot, and today I wanted to share those 4 things with you. I hope they’ll make you feel more refreshed and accomplished!
1. SKINCARE: This is key, especially since we’re only getting older (eek)! Ever since I started using TULA, it has been the most game-changing product for me, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! My favorite products are the Purifying Face Cleanser, the Hydrating Day & Night Cream, and the Revitalizing Eye Cream. I apply them in that order in the morning and at night. TULA is made with probiotics which help balance out your skin, in addition to all the other amazing things it can do. It’s great for all skin types and I rarely ever break out! You can use the code: TOREY at checkout for a good discount + free shipping!Â
2. CLOSET CLEAN OUT: This is always at the top of my priority list once a new season rolls around and I definitely already accomplished a huge closet clean out! And boy did it feel oh-so-good 😉 My goal is to complete a closet clean out once a month. As a blogger, I’m constantly trying to stay up with the latest trends, so this is key to keeping my closet organized and keeping me sane. I like to create piles as I do my clean out: donate, sell, give to mom/roommates. That way I feel like my clothes are always going to a good home 🙂
3. FRESH FLOWERS + DIFFUSER: Fresh flowers are something that I always treat myself to! whenever I make a Trader Joe’s run, I always come home with a bundle of flowers. They are so affordable there, brighten up my room with the best fragrance, and make me smile.
In addition to lighting my favorite candles around the house and bedroom, I’ve also been loving my diffuser lately. This one is from Saje Wellness (love this marble one too) who I’ve recently discovered and fallen in love with! I love to fill the diffuser with “tranquility” right before bed, and in the morning or mid-day on the weekends get it running with “rejuvenate“. There’s something about it that keeps the air light and fresh.
4. CALENDAR ORGANIZATION: I briefly shared about how I’ve completely revamped my 2o18 calendar planning on Instagram stories, but I wanted to elaborate a little today! This washi tape is an absolute MUST. I don’t know why I just discovered this at age 28, but I’m so obsessed. My 10 year old crafty self would have loved this stuff! Â Anyway, I color code all of the things in my life and simply write on the specific activity on the tape. For example, green is travel, blue is for school, purple is for my blog deadlines, etc… Then just stick it to the calendar. As things change, or I need to adjust my schedule, I simply remove the tape and stick it on to the new date. It’s that easy and keeps me incredibly organized!
I hope that encouraged you to try something new to feel refreshed, motivated, and organized! Let me know if you have any other tips or “life hacks”, I’d love to hear more! Have a great weekend babes 🙂
