With the holidays right around the corner, things aren’t slowing down anytime soon, so that means you’re b-u-s-y like me. Today I’m sharing some of my tips and tricks that I live by, to help you get your best beauty sleep in order to feel rested, refreshed and ready to take on this busy time of the year!
- Buy quality mattress, sheets, and pillows that suit your preference: This seems like a no-brainer but it’s THE most important step and THE best investment you can make to get your best sleep! Suissly (a local Santa Barbara company) allows users to create the bed of their dreams choosing their mattress firmness level, sheets that perfectly fit the mattress, and pillows that fit their firmness preference. I have been sleeping on Suissly for the past two weeks and I can honestly say I’ve had some of the most soundless, peaceful, and comfortable nights of sleep yet! Their products are made in the U.S. (with minimal impact to the environment), arrive to your front door step in a vacuum sealed bag within a box, and attached is the dreamiest lavender spray. Can you tell I’m in heaven?! You can get 10% off your purchase at Suissly using code toreystreasures at checkout!
- Create a nighttime routine/ritual: For me this means winding down after dinner and showering at about 7:30 pm. After washing my face with this, I always apply a nice layer of this to moisturize and rescue my skin, and lastly this to revitalize my under eyes overnight! Once I’m in some comfortable pajamas (under $25 + come in other patterns) my mindset starts to transition to “sleep mode”. Then I either complete a blog post, read a book, or write in my journal, ALL in the comfort of my dreamy Suissly bed, sheets, and pillows 😉 I try to go to bed at the same time every night (no later than 10pm).
- Create a cool/calming environment: This means closing all blinds, creating almost like a cave so you’re not woken up right when the sun is up. This sleeping eye mask is so cute and would be great for maintaining a dark space. I also love sleeping with white noise in the background (a fan works for me), and it’s also cooling the room at the same time which allows me to cozy up in my warm Suissly sheets!
What are some of your tips and tricks to getting the best night of beauty sleep so you feel rested and refreshed the next day?! I’d love to hear! 🙂
