I’m so excited to share with you how I curl my hair on a daily basis…it’s SO easy and SO quick so it’s do-able for anyone in a hurry, like me! But before I begin my step-by-step tutorial, I have to share this amazing sale with you: purchase a curling wand of your choice HERE using code ITSONLY70 at checkout for 70% off! I’m using the 25mm curling wand in this tutorial and love the type of curls it makes.
Step 1: Divide your hair into two sections, top and bottom.
Step 2: Divide the bottom section into two sections, one on the left and one on the right.
Step 3: Start wrapping a section of hair around the wand, from top to bottom (the smaller the section of hair, the tighter the curls). Make sure it covers the entire wand if possible. Also, be sure to wrap away from your face. Stop wrapping once you have about a 1.5″ piece of hair left…this way the curl stops and can fall into more of a loose curl. Hold for about 8 seconds and let it fall, then don’t touch it. Continue section by section until you’ve done the entire bottom hair of your hair…
Step 4: Let the top half section of your hair down and do the same thing, wrapping away from your face, holding for 8 seconds, and letting it fall.
Step 5: Once I get to the front of my hair, I do not wrap the entire pieces around the wand, but stop about half way up so my “front bangs” don’t get super curly but are more loose. Next, your hair should be completely cooled off and ready to feed your fingers through your entire head of hair. This will loosen the curls and create more of a natural wave! I don’t set with any hair sprays because I don’t like the way it feels and my hair holds curls pretty well. Feel free to set with hair spray though if you’d like!
