I have always thought of cleaning my makeup brushes as a chore, and somehow it always stays on my to-do list without getting accomplished. However, I decided it was finally time to take the plunge and make this item on my to-list a priority for 3 main reasons:
- Clear and clean skin- cleaning brushes routinely is essential for avoiding the buildup of bacteria, dirt, dead skin cells, germs, etc., which will in turn cause acne and clog your pores. Huge reason to get that cleaning on ASAP!
- Smooth application process– I’ve noticed that if I go for a long period of time without cleaning my makeup brushes, when my foundation is applied it appears, chalky, streaky, and just doesn’t look good. Another important reason to wash up!
- Brush maintenance- Your brushes will last longer and will maintain their shape better if cleaned often. They’re meant to be used and meant to be cleaned. So get to it!
