The one thing that always helps me clear my mind during this frantic and hectic time of year is working up a sweat. Switching up workouts is always important, and if I have a little extra time in my day, I love to go for a hike in the local Santa Barbara mountains instead of hitting up a class at the gym. A workout on the less beaten path is simple, free, and can be rewarding in more ways than none. Just make sure to bring water and a protein bar or nuts to keep your body fueled. Work up a sweat, burn off some of those Christmas cookies, and get a whiff of nature’s de-stressing effects by taking a nature walk, hiking up a mountain, or strolling along the beach. Your body and mind will thank you 🙂
