Lemonade: Recipe here // Sunscreen: My favorite isn’t pictured but find it here // Sunglasses: Karen Walker
Laying out in the sunshine and being surrounded by water is one of my favorite activities to take part in during the Summer. If it’s going to be done though, the essentials are necessary when indulging. I’m a HUGE proponent for wearing sunscreen, no matter if you’re in the sun for 15 minutes or 5 hours, PLEASE WEAR SUNSCREEN! I cannot stress enough the importance of putting it on yourself and others you are with. More than 90% of skin cancers are caused by sun exposure (and this can happen from just being sunburned only 5 times!). Skin cancer is the by far the most common form of cancer and 1 in 5 people will develop it and be diagnosed with it in their lifetime. I’m not saying you cannot go outside and enjoy the sun but please advocate to protect yourself in as many ways as possible!
Palm trees + sunshine + globe patio lights = Summertime
Something about this view just screams out “Summer” and I love it. Hoping to purchase some globe patio lights for my patio sometime in the near future. It creates such a warm, calm, and peaceful atmosphere that just makes me want to sit outside and chat while eating dinner!
Brown Rice, Salmon, Asparagus + Bell Peppers
My new favorite dinner recipe I’ve been craving and have been eating on repeat, really though! It seriously takes 2 minute to prep, and only 25 minutes to cook and voila you have an amazing dinner that tastes like it came from a 5 star restaurant…seriously though!
Brown Rice: Trader Joes microwavable 3 minutes
Salmon: Squeeze lemon + sprinkle pepper + salt (cook on top foil on a pan at 425 Degrees for 25 Minutes)
Veggies: Chop up asparagus and red, yellow, and orange bell peppers + toss in olive oil + sprinkle pepper + salt on top (cook on top foil on pan at 425 Degrees for 25 Minutes)
*I like to cook the Salmon and Veggies at the exact same time and heat up the rice near the end…SO easy, SO delicious, and did I mention, SO healthy!? ENJOY!
