Growing up in a fitness oriented family, I find it odd that I was never a fan of exercising. Sure I danced for hours every day after school, but I was never thrilled to run a mile at school, or go hiking with the family (where my brother and I were told there was a shake shack at the top of the mountain…funny joke right?!). After graduating high school, and even more so now that I’m in my mid-20’s, my mindset has completely changed.
I take exercising on a regular basis very seriously, and know it’s a vital part of my everyday life to keep my body fueled and running smoothly. It keeps my muscles strong, my body toned, and keeps my mind right. I try and mix up my exercise routine as much as possible so I don’t get stuck in a “workout rut” as they call it. I absolutely love taking spin classes, weight/circuit training classes, high intensity interval training, stadiums at the track, and even just picked up yoga. What types of exercise do you take part in to stay fit?
It’s important the night before you plan on exercising to pack up your gym bag. This will allow you to practice self-discipline and will leave no room for excuses. JUST DO IT. This slogan has definitely been used for a good reason…it works! No matter what mood you’re in, try your best to get your body moving every day for 30 minutes or more. I’m not saying you need to go run a 10k, go lift heavy weights, or take a killer spin class, all I’m saying is it’s important to just get your body up and moving!
Here are a few good reasons why exercise can make you happy and keep you healthy! It’s a quick read and TOTALLY worth it!
